Fantastic!Dec 31, 2008
By Lynn G These are the best earbuds that I've bought! I'm a 20f with very small eustachian tubes, and regular-sized earbuds, especially the in-ear types, hurt my ears tremendously. I've bought in-ear buds with different sized foam parts, but they were all too big and cutting them down to size was just a mess. The in-ear part of these buds fit to your ear perfectly, and they come with three different sizes that you can swap around until you find the most comfortable fit.

Not just for kidsFeb 08, 2009
By Lizzy I was born with a slight hearing disability, so I can tell you it's not fun to never be able to hear people when they whisper, or to have to either use closed captions on the TV or give up understanding half of what is said. If you love music, you will want to protect your ears so that you will still be able to listen to good music for the rest of your life, and that is the primary reason I bought these volume reducing earphones. I never knew I had small ear canals for an adult, but I guess I do because I use the smallest eartips on these and they are more comfortable than any others I've ever tried. I also like that they're PVC free, and that the cord doesn't tangle easily.

Great ProductNov 18, 2008
By D. Blanchard I bought these for my 14 year old. He loves how comfortable they are and the cool blue color. The sound quality is excellent. He did think the volume could be a little louder but as a mother I like the fact that he's not blasting his eardrums out!

Broke easilyFeb 23, 2009
By ItalyTraveler I really liked this product before it broke. The earbuds were the perfect size and the sound quality was excellent. However, the blue part split in half within a couple of months. It probably would have lasted an even shorter time in the hands of a child! They are too expensive to buy a new pair every few months.

Too loudDec 03, 2011
By Noname These Ultimate Ears earphones come with a bunch of silicone ear cushions in different sizes and a little plastic case. I bought them because I didn't want the music and movies them to damage my children's ears. It didn't work. They both complain the earphones are uncomfortable and refuse to use them.
So, I decided to try them for myself. What I found was with low volume, the earphones feel like earplugs. You know, when you can hear yourself breathe and your heart beat? There is also a lot of noise echo coming from the movement of the cord. At higher volumes, this is not a problem, but my goal is to have the kids listen at lower volumes.
As a test, I tried using the Ultimate ears on maximum volume with my Kindle Fire and I thought the volume was actually pretty loud. Compared to my standard earphones, the sound was a little more muted, but it was loud enough to be objectionable to me. I might say it's better than nothing, but my kids won't use them.
