5New Friends coming Thomas' way!Nov 09, 2005

Neville is one of Thomas' new friends featured in Season 9 and "Tales from the Tracks" video and DVD. Neville is a steamie who almost looks like a diesel. When he first arrived, Thomas saw 'Arry and Bert tease him and thought he was friends with them. Later, rumors spread around the yard that Neville was a bad engine who was plotting and scheming with the diesels! Neville sees the engines run away from him. Thomas tells him that he is bad and Neville heads toward a broken bridge. Thomas saves Neville and learns he wasn't a bad engine after all! As seen in the story "Thomas and the New Engine"

5My Son's Newest AcquisitionApr 28, 2006
By Janet Boyer "Author of Tarot in Reverse"
Enthusiastic and friendly, Neville is an all-around good egg who wants to be part of the team. Unfortunately for Neville, he is a Steamie who looks like a diesel. Regardless, even when the other engines are rude to him, he does not hold a grudge.

My son owns many trains from the Thomas and Friends series--both die-cast and wooden ones that run on the wooden tracks. Neville is a dark gray train that comes in two parts (magnetic), and runs on the wooden tracks. Neville also comes with his own character card, too.

And yes, my son has been playing with him quite a lot these days!

A nice addition to the expanding Thomas and Friends series!

4Loved this hard to find trainFeb 01, 2012

We are happy to have found this train. Hard to find in stores. Rated high in educational value, not because of the toy itself, but like most Thomas trains, they offer a chance to start discussion about behaviors and how to treat people.

5Worth havingDec 28, 2005

Neville is one of four new engines to appear in the latest series of "Thomas and Friends." He is a big black tender engine with a square-shaped boiler and few words to say. Though he is a "steamie" he is often mistaken for a diesel, and this makes him the victim of bullying and teasing. But he never holds a grudge, and doesn't let it affect him.

With his distinctive appearance, Neville is a perfect addition to any LC Thomas collection. He could also be a role model to children who are teased because of their appearance. This is definitely worth having.
