 Poor quality capsMar 28, 2011

Only about 1/2 of our caps would pop at all. And when they do pop, they make a pathetic little sound a small amount of smoke. These are the only caps I've tried since I was a kid, so maybe they are all that way these days. I don't know. But if this is it, they are hardly worth the trouble. My son still likes his toy gun, and plays with it all the time, but doesn't bother with the remaining caps.

I ordered these caps to go along with the cap gun I purchased. When they finally arrived I loaded a strip into my cap gun and fired off the rounds. The sound of the gun's spring was louder than the caps themselves. I thought that maybe it was just that strip, so I tried a couple more, but they all sounded the same, Wimpy. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

They perform as advertised. Be warned, however, that not all strip caps work with all guns. We bought these because we thought they would fit our gun. Not so! Apparently the number and types of caps is quite large and hard to follow. So, these don't work with our boys' toy guns, but we've been having fun just whacking them with a hammer.
So I guess there is some educational value after all: our boys are learning how to swing a hammer.

You can buy paper roll caps for about $1 per 1,000. These fall far short of that value, even though they work well and are the only things that will make one of our cap guns work.

It is good for what it is intended for - to make loud noises with a toy gun.
