Very rarely does something I order on the internet, especially electronics, exceed my expectations. I am normally pretty critical, haven't given many five star ratings on Amazon, but this panda earned it! It was not a gift for a child, I bought it for myself and am an adult and it is cute without being too cutesy. People comment on it all the time. It works very well, speaker quality is good, simple, clean design. I hope it keeps working so well! I love the way the volume is built into the ears. I would definitely buy this product again and would buy it for a gift. It would make a great gift for a "tween" aged kid who is hard to shop for.

I know what you, avid Gr33n4blu3 reader, are thinking. Why did he purchase an iPanda? Has this hulking slab of man-meat finally gone soft? Why would a quasi-Neanderthal who sweats raw testosterone and musk want a panda shaped speaker to blast his Heavy Metal Viking music? Before I get to that, let me say a few words on this product:
1. It is fully functional and extremely portable. As far as accessibility to all the features goes, this product gets an A+. You can increase the volume just by licking the ears. How cool is that?
2. The iPanda does have five speakers and they can blast out the music. I thought it might not be loud enough for me at first, but after playing with the knob in the iPanda's hindquarters I achieved the eardrum popping level of music that I enjoy.
3. When you have the iPanda buzzing along at full blast you can actually feel the vibrations coming from its mouth. While this is a neat feature, it does make me a little uncomfortable. Impulse control is not my strong suit.
Now, why did I buy the iPanda in the first place? Have you seen the Speakal iPig and iBoo? They're downright scary! They have cold, dead vacuous black eyes and no souls. I keep this stereo up in my bedroom heaven's sake. Those other two i-speakers might eat me in my sleep when I'm in my nude and completely defenseless! The iPig looks particularly vicious with his little piggy nose and sharp little feet. I could swear that I see little fangs in the picture on Amazon. As far as the iBoo goes... why would you let a ghost into your bedroom? These are the exact same undead wraiths that Pac-Man eats when he swallows a power pellet.

I have the Ipod Shuffle, the least expensive one of all! I use this Panda with my shuffle and can enjoy my music with no problem. It is really cute sitting on the desk and the sound quality is very good for the price. It comes with all the components for the different Ipods. Now I need to buy another one for my children to enjoy! If someone is looking for a way to listen to downloaded music with good sound quality at a reasonable price, you would be happy with this Panda.

I was very happy when I was using the control to change songs and set the volume up and down, I just wanted people to know the description just says ipod touch 1G 2G but in fact I have a 4G and it works great, I thought I would use the ipanda with the audio cable only but WRONG... it charges my ipod and everything, I recommend this one 100%

My 7 YO granddaughter received an iPod for her birthday last year, but wasn't using it as much as we would like. We soon figured out the reason was because it's hard to charge on the laptop, and because she couldn't easily share her music with her friends. I thought a docking station with speakers might be a good option for her, and the iPanda is oh so cute for a little girl. So I got it for her for Christmas.
It worked out great: very easy for her to use (her iPod is always charged now) and she uses it constantly. But the unexpected part was the sound quality. I was expecting it to be lower quality, since this product looks like it's geared toward children. I was wrong. It sounds FAR better than I expected. Now her parents "borrow" it for their iPods and it fills the house with music when cranked up. What a shock - good bass tones and crisp, clean treble. I highly recommend this docking station!
