I ordered this costume and noticed that some of the reviews said to get a size smaller but I didn't think I really needed to. Well I received my costume which is wonderful quality and it would've been perfect if I had ordered a size smaller. Don't be nervous about getting a size smaller trust me you will need it. I love the costume. My mom altered it for me so the size is correct now and it looks perfect.

this costume is great. nice thing is also, it runs true to size whereas most premade costumes run on the small size. it is well made and gorgeous. however the only thing bad about it, is the boot tops are like kryptonite to the rest of the outfit. they do not fit like the picture shows. i just went ahead and invested in some of the Funtasm Wonder knee-high boots. great costume!!!

I love this costume. I'm very petite so the xs was perfect for me. I loved the color and the fabric. The only problem I see with it is that the skirt is a bit short on the back, and since it is such a lightweight material you have to be very careful.

Your height will affect how this costume fits youAug 20, 2011

I ordered this costume on a Wednesday and was happy when it arrived Friday. It is really well made for a costume but the velvet body fabric is a bit thin and mine came apart at the seams a bit when I tried pulling it down so the skirt would not be so short. No problem sewing it though as it was near the seams. I am 5'7 and I am a size 4. I considered buying a S but I bought the XS because so many reviews said it runs big. I wish I had ordered the S. It's not too tight but it is a bit too short through the body. This makes the skirt come just 2" past my butt. I considered sending it back for the S, but the belt is already too big (very easy to fix, I just took off the velcro & sewed it back on where I needed it) and the front of the skirt looked about as long as it does on the model. I am assuming that the body of the costume runs short. I think a S would be better for me but not so much so that I'd return it. If you are 5'5 & under, I imagine this costume would be perfect for you. If you are taller than 5'7, just be sure not to order a size down. Order your size and it might cover your butt. I'm going to wear cheerleader spankies under mine. I think every girl should have a pair for Halloween because cute costumes are always so short. And by the way...the boot tops are completely useless. Be prepared to order some red boots (I've ordered the same ones others are mentioning here) because you really do need boots with a supergirl costume.

I purchsed the Supergirl Deluxe Adult Costume, and it said to order a smaller size because they run big, and that was right because it fit right, but the costume had two holes in it already, they were small, but still for it being new it shouldn't have had holes in it. They are in a spot that you can't really sew. I couldn't send it back either because when I received it they sent a slip of paper in it that said there is no exchanges or returns so close to the costume season. I was pretty upset by that since I specifically looked for a site that didn't say "no returns or exchanges" in case the costume didn't fit.
