What a piece of junkJan 14, 2008
By Todd S. Bennett

This "wand" is a blow-mold plastic stick with markings on it that don't seem to correlate to anything in the books or movie. It's poorly painted and by the time my daughter finished opening the package that the "new" wand came in, some of the paint had worn off. Rather than buy this piece of junk, it might be better to give your kid any handheld item (that is safe) and let them use their imagination, because whatever they choose will be just as much a wand-like item as the glorified, sealed plastic straw that is this item.

Cheap WandOct 29, 2007
By yvette Riverside cal This wand is made very poorly. We opened it up and the paint is peeling off of it. Don't waste your money.

Invest more money and get a real looking wand from Warner Brothers.Nov 05, 2007

This wand is very "toy-like". It is over-sized and very light. It is cheaply painted and chips at the slightest touch. Invest a little more money and enjoy and authentic looking wand in the box from Warner Brothers. I purchased the "Harry" wand from them and the difference is tremendous. The packaging alone enhances the experience of owning a Harry Potter wand.

crapDec 03, 2007
By fjorner A piece of crap. Cheap plastic, only partially painted in a light green, not tan. hollow and light. Came in cheap, beat-up packaging. Last plastic joint seams on either side, an unfinished paint job really spoil the imagination with this toy. There are better wands out there, I hope.

No magic hereNov 07, 2008

We bought this wand to go with a Hermione costume for Halloween. The picture on the site is much, much nicer than what actually arrived. The wand is not at all as detailed as the picture makes it look. It's hollow plastic with a painted exterior. The paint is so poorly applied that if you happen to drop it on a table or lightly hit it against the edge of something, the paint will chip off immediately and reveal the dark colored plastic underneath. It's also quite thick and not comfortable to hold despite the fact that it is extremely light weight. My daughter was so underwhelmed by the wand that she left it behind and went trick-or-treating without it.
