Description:

Nyko Intercooler Keep your Xbox 360 running at optimal conditions. The Intercooler is a snap-on cooling attachment that easily connects to the Xbox 360. It provides increased air flow away from the Xbox 360 system, allowing a cooler and better ventilated environment. The Intercooler is ideal for cramped entertainment centers. No internal modification of the Xbox 360 is required. A pass-through power connection utilizes the existing Xbox 360 power supply, negating the need for an extra AC adaptor. Get extended life, reliability and gaming with the Nyko Intercooler for your Xbox 360!

1I'd give 0 stars if I couldNov 06, 2006

The intercooler can, and in my case did, damage my 360. It sucks current that otherwise would go to the 360, which caused component failure. The worst part? As it's not an approved accessory for the 360, any damage it causes will void your warranty and you'll have to buy a new 360 out of pocket.

5Updated.... This killed my 360 :(Apr 11, 2006
By M. Marcoux
I have to change my review - - - - You will either damage (melts to the back of your 360) or hurt your 360. Mine didn't melt to the back, but I had major failures with this device. It killed one 360 because of vibrations... the replacement began failing so I removed this device and now all is fine. What a waste of money. It draws power from the 360's power supply, so it is reducing the power going to your 360... thus components can and in my case, WILL fail.

New reviews - ZERO stars. Stay FAR away!

2You Don't Need This!!Apr 30, 2007
By Machine Gun "MnVols"
While the 360 can run hot if not properly ventalated, this plug in fan doesn't stop the 360 issues out there. You 360 and power supply needs to be in a position where air can flow thru easily. Try and avoid having your 360 and power supply on the carpet or areas where there is little airflow. That being said, I do believe this cooler helps to cool the 360 slightly. The intercooler has 3 fans running, and it plugs into the back of the 360. Then you plug the cord into it. I have a problem with the fact the intercooler uses the voltage from the 360, instead of its own powersource. The fact its taking amps away from the board is theorectically not a good thing. You don't need a cooler, UNLESS you can't put your 360 in an open area. If you have to get one of these, may i suggest the 360 Stand instead. Some of them have batteries or they plug into the wall. That way no power is lost from the 360. These things don't extend the life of your 360, and they will not stop the 360 crashes that have plagued the system since birth. I've have talked with techs at two major repair centers, and they all say this will not solve the 360 crash issues. If you have to have one, then get the stand that uses its own powersource. You have been warned!

1Destroyed my Xbox 360!Dec 08, 2006
By Jared "Stone Fury"
My Xbox began getting the dreaded "red lights" after installing this terrible product. The problem was that it had melted and fused with the back of my 360. It completely wrecked my power port. This product is horrible and this company should be sued for its' blatant disregard for the customers who bought this junk. The worst part of it all is that Nyko's customer support service won't even respond to my E-mail. I'd give this system wrecker -5stars if possible.

1Broken. Pointless.Nov 18, 2006

First of all, it's sad that someone would put out a product (the 360) that gets so hot that it tends to fry itself, unless you spend another 10% of the product cost on a little series of fans.

Second, I attached this. I plugged it in. It wouldn't even turn on. Waste of money. Do yourself a favor and just keep your machine in an open, uncluttered, unblocked area. If you absolutely must provide additional airflow, just point a $10 clip-on fan at it.
