could have been betterNov 24, 2008
By Ronald H. Kantrowitz I bought this costume for halloween for my girlfriend and I to go as fred and wilma. The material was so so. The fur collar made it much better. i liked the lenght. I'm 6'2" 300# and it fit pretty well. The seam down the middle was pretty lightweight and I had to restitch it up so I know it wouldn't bust out while we were out. The necktie was the big dissapointment for me. It was a velcro closure in the back and the color was a very pale baby blue. It should be a royal blue. So I ended up going out. It was not going to work anyway. It was way to tight to be comfortable. If anyone knows anything about Fred Flintstone, you will know the color was way off. So I ended up going to fabric store and bought a yard of royal blue flannel and cut my own tie and tied it myself. It was not hard at all. I recommend the $3 in materials to do it, if it bothers you. The shoe tops were okay. The elastic held up the whole night even though I though they wouldn't. The wig was wierd. It didn't look like Fred's hair at all but I had a "Waterbuffalo" lodge hat I bought at another store so I never used it. Overall. I'd check this costume out at a halloween shop before you buy it. It's not bad, but for the price you pay for a halloweend product of this price, you'd expect no problems.
