Most pumps on the market don’t put out this kind of air volume and pressure (380 liters/min., .8 psi). The universal valve fittings fit all popular valves. For added convenience, the cigarette lighter plug is equipped with a 10 ft. long power cord. We recommend topping off towables inflated with 12 volt pumps with a few strokes of AIRHEAD’s Double Action Hand Pump or Foot Bellows Pump. | | | Features: | |

read the box and contentsMay 30, 2008

the box states that the pump should not be plugged into a cigarette lighter socket and only a 12V power supply outlet which always allows for more amperage and is larger than most lighter sockets. The included directions state this a few more times so if there was a problem it was not with the pump but rather the user. I received the pump yesterday and tested it out and I am very impressed with its output and speed it took to fill and deflate our blow up rafts. The only thing that should be kept in mind is that it is designed for short (under 30minutes) uses as it gets warm quickly. You can learn this by reading the short and simple instructions.

Works Great!!Aug 19, 2009
By B. testa I had the Metro Magic Air pump and it took forever to pump up my float. I just purchased the Kwik and it's very powerful for such a small pump and it works great on my boat. I did alot of research and think this is the most powerful air pump that still uses 12 volt.

Just as MPV "Gone fishin" states... it is clearly written on the box as well as on the instructions to not use a cigarrette lighter plug. I've used this from my 12V plug in the boat as well as the 12V accessory plug in the trunk of my Suburban. Inflates our 70x70 tube in ~5 minutes... which is great as we can keep the tube deflated when not in use and not have it take up a lot of space in our boat. Would've been nice if it also had the alligator clip option to hook directly up to a battery source. Otherwise, for 15 bucks at Walmart, it was an excellent buy for me.

How long should it take to inflate a pontoon boat?Apr 23, 2011
By P. Wright Maybe my expectations are too high. My 9 ft pontoon boat doesn't that much air, so I figured one to two minutes per side. After more then five minutes I thought maybe something was wrong. The unit seems to put out a good volume of air, but it seems to only pump to about 70% of the capacity needed to get firm but not too firm pontoons. My little one gallon compressor can fill each side in about 45 seconds. Is the Kwik Tek unit just not up to the job?
AMAZINGJun 06, 2011
By David I have experience with a few pumps and this one by far has the best output out of all of them, We float the edisto river here in charleston alot and its important to get their and blow up the floats fast to be on the water before a crowd hits, this pump definetly outperforms all the others. Great price too!
