This pump is a bit too large to take with you on your inflatable boat, but I have done so for short trips without a problem. The size of the pump actually gives more volume to each stroke. Love the double action, although it makes you work hard. And love the valve that makes the work easier, but turns the pump into a one-way pump. The attached heads are a little crowded on the rope and get in the way all the time, but it's not that big of a deal.

Perfect for smaller things such as an inflatable kayaks (pro rafting type). For a LARGE raft this pump doesn't put out enough volume but is a good backup. The two way action inflates with no wasted effort on the upstroke.
The pump's gaskets last FAR longer if lubricated (each season) with a tablespoon of SYNTHETIC (for cars) oil (do NOT use vegetable oil of any kind which will dissolve its latex gaskets). Besides reducing wear & tear the decreased friction makes pumping MUCH easier & faster!
The scrawny hose eventually needs duct tape to hold it together.
As for the adapters most just attach the one for which the pump is intended (a bit of electrician's tape holds it forever)and one will fit a raft valve perfectly.
At 19" it fits in a gear bag and works fine even when wet.
To sum this a key little bit of equipment that lasts for years if you treat it right.

I love this for camping. I had to replace my old pump and I'm glad I chose this one. It's super powerful, I love that it has a half-power setting for when it's getting difficult to pump but you just want to get that last bit of air in. It has a great selection of nozzles, which are sturdily attached to the pump - my last pump had a flimsy loop which broke and I ended up losing most of them. And this is way better than a pump you attach to your car - it's quiet, fast, and way more portable. I pumped up a huge floating donut-thingy that you tow behind the boat - at least 6' across - without breaking a sweat last week. And I'm just a girly weakling!

I bought two of these pumps for Boy Scout whitewater trips. The pumps are great for blowing up small boats, topping off the air in rafts or adding a little air during your trip down the river. The pump comes with a set of attachments to fit air mattresses and other inflatable products. This pump is every bit as good as pumps twice the price. The pumps small size makes it easy to carry in your boat.
