Great pumpAug 03, 2007

I have had one of these for about 3 years now. And I just love it. I have used it blow up an air matress, one of those blue walmart pools and various kids toys. It is very quick! It will inflate and deflate depending on where you hook up hose. It has a larger and a smaller end piece so that you can ajust to the item you are inflating. Unless you really need an industrial pump, or a cordless one, I suggest this one as it has worked well for our household.

A/C quick electric pump.Mar 15, 2008
By Sal I have a few items in the house that needed to be frequently inflated. I had the normal manual pumps and finally got fed up with the hassle and those items went flat. I looked on amazon and low and behold I found one that seemed reasonably priced and had a few good ratings. These are the things you might want to consider before you buy this item. It does have a 6 foot long cord so if you need a longer cord you need to use an extension. And it will not inflates bike tires. Besides those flaws the pump is powerful and only takes a few seconds to inflate the items I have. Great pump especially for the price. You could spend a lot more and get the same thing, but why would you want to. If you need a pump in your household and for your kid's stuff this is the pump.

No manufacturer Warranty- Bad Customer Service!!Jun 04, 2009
By DJR I ordered this pump because of all the great reviews. Sent my order on May 30th, pump was delivered on June 4th. Pretty good so far.
I plugged the pump in and attached the hose. The air was obviously restricted, so I removed the hose and noticed black plastic clogging up the hose. I shined a light inside and noticed that the liner was coming away from the interior of the accordion hose, causing the clog.
The hose is manufactured by Intex corp. I called them first. They informed me that there is no warranty on this item. They would sell me a new hose.
The item was bought through Amazon, the order filled by Vitality Web. I called Vitality Web they advised me to contact the manufacturer. I told them that I had already contacted the manufacturer!!!!!!!
I called the manufacturer again and asked to talk to a supervisor, the CSR promised someone would call within 48 hours! No one ever contacted me.
I'll probably try ad fix it myself, if that doesn't work I'll return it.
This is the problem buying through the internet, not locally!!!
I added this on June 24th.
I sent the pump back. I am waiting on a replacement. I'll update the review when I get the replaced pump.
I paid $39.95 for this pump, + $2.80 for shipping. Today June 24, they are advertising it for over $100!! What is up with this company??

Not RecommendedDec 05, 2008

I bought the Intex Quick-Fill electric pump - with hose. I lost the hose. I ordered a replacement hose from Intex direct, paying $6 for the hose and $6 for shipping. The hose doesn't fit the pump. Their policy? If I prepay the return freight, they may refund the ($6) price. How does this happen? The hose was ordered from the Intex Quick-Fill electric pump web page as a replacement part. Intex has not executed on a simple customer support need. For which I paid. Between product design and customer order fulfillment, they may have real issues. Of course, I am just a sample size of one. So I recommend y'all do a little customer satisfaction research and be sure to buy products from firms capable of meeting expected after sale support needs. But I have just added another name to my short list of manufacturers and distributors with which I will never again do business.

Faster than my compressorJul 08, 2009
By Noname This pump works well for inflating those large outdoor inflatable toys. It has a large and small nozzle conveniently attached to the hose to fit different size valves. So far, I haven't found an inflatable toy valve for which I didn't have a proper nozzle. My latest project was to inflate a Swim Center Undersea Pool, Octagon Shape, 3 Rings, 120" x 25", which it did within minutes.
In addition to inflating toys, it can be used to deflate toys. Believe it or not, some toys have one-way valves which prevent deflation when the pump is removed from the valve, but they have no quick and easy way to deflate. This is where the Intex pump comes in handy.
For my son's birthday, I used both this pump and a Black & Decker ASI300 Air Station Inflator to inflate more than 100 balloons. Intex was noticeably faster. The compressor not only lost the speed test, it also died in the race. So for now, I will rely on my trusty Intex for all my inflatables.
