How hard can it be to make an attractive wand? You can buy imported craftsy pens made of wood with polished stones - these would be great wands. And they are cheaper than this ugly piece of plastic.

For a plastic Hermoine wand, it's pretty decent. It's a bit bigger than I had thought it should be, looked a bit awkward with my daughter carrying it around on Halloween - but it is exactly as described.
Honestly, the wandlike details can't be seen too clearly since it's so dark; maybe a nice stick found outdoors would have worked just as well.
