Kids loved but...Aug 24, 2007

It was difficult to put the batteries in. Would have loved for the wand to have an on / off switch. The wand goes off at the slightest touch. Have had the wand for a few weeks now and the kids are still playing with them.

Junk - buy elsewhereAug 01, 2007

Very dissapointing to receive this item - not of good quality for the price. I had to give it to the child though b/c it was part of a gift and the gift was already overdue.

Very Poor QualitySep 29, 2007
By DownToEarth This is pretty much a single use "wand". It is very poor quality. The paint chips off at the slightest touch. Also the batteries were very hard to install, and believe me, I know how to install batteries. If you are thinking of buying a harry potter wand, try something other than the deluxe.

So much fun!Jun 07, 2007
By Melissa Alliet The magical wand is so much fun; I bought it for a child in the family who just turned 3. He loves to watch Harry Potter and do spells along with him. This toy is neat; it lights up and makes noises when you flick your wrist. It's a great imaginative toy!

Harry Potter wandOct 19, 2007
By M. Ichniowski This is an adequate wand as a prop for an HP costume or for kids playing at wizarding. It lights from the tip when waved to cast a spell, and produces 3 different sounds which cycle in sequence with each wave of the wand. It is battery operated but does not stay lit more than a few seconds, even if you say "Lumos." It would be better if it included a switch to keep the light on, particularly when creeping about Hogwarts after dark. And I wasn't able to produce a decent patronus with it, despite my best efforts. With the light and the sound, it is superior to merely waving a stick around, and it's reasonably priced through this vendor.
