great for 4-year oldDec 31, 2008
By R. Markham THis product is great as it has 3 levels to choose from. My 4 year old loves to hit the pitches that are thrown to him. My 2 year old uses it for tee ball. Both boys love to try and catch the balls as the machine throws them. CUTE TOY.

PERFECtJul 25, 2010
By Amy Wolfe This toy is a lot of fun! All the kids love it. I bought it for my nephew on his 4th birthday. It was a little difficult at first but he learned quickly and is able to now hit the ball. My 6 year old niece also LOVES it and so does my 10 year old niece. WORKED PERfect. I read a reivew about a collapsable bat. I did not get a collapsable bat. The bat that is provided is a normal plastic with padding around bat. We like to use the FAT bat that we have. Makes it easier to hit the ball. Also i would recommend getting more balls. Sometimes it is hard to hit because it throws them to high for the 4 year old. HOWEVER THIS TOY IS A HOOT!
Great toy... minus the collapsable bat!Dec 28, 2011
By Melissa J This product was a hit with my two boys, ages 4 and 2. However, we too received the collapsable bat, which can be annoying because it will suddenly collapse when they are trying to swing. Aside from the bat, my only other minor complaint is that I wish it had come with more balls, or at least, it was easier to find replacement balls. We live near a gutter and all of the balls eventually rolled down it, due to some power hits! I have had a hard time finding replacements.
Would've received 5 stars if the bat had been a normal plastic one!

Collapsable bat....seriously?Apr 19, 2010
By H. Smith I was so excited when a friend bought this for my son...until we opened it. It has a collapsable bat, just so they could make smaller packaging. None of the photos or descriptions on the box indicate a collapsable bat, but sure enough it was in the box. Seems very easy for kids to pinch their fingers if they are trying to extend it. Very disappointed. I hope the motor lasts, but I am not holding my breath....it seems a little weak. (it's only getting two starts because the motor is currently working -- opened it 10 hours ago and because I still really like the concept!)

Piece of crapJun 16, 2009

I would give this toy zero stars if it were an option. After assembly (and installing new batteries), the pitching mechanism worked for less than ten minutes before it slowly ground to a halt. Replacing the (new) batteries did nothing for the toy -- what a waste. Nothing but a humming sound now.
A very expensive T-ball that doesn't work as advertised.
