Sorry, folks. The picture makes this helmet (and I hesitate to call it that) look more substantial than it is. I am used to fiberglass or at least hard rubber helmets from the likes of Don Post. This is a weak vacuum-formed mask (it's not even half as strong as a blister pack). It is made up of two halves that overlap each other. One half is clear with white paint on it. The two halves are held together by several velcro dots around the perimeter. The size is too small for anyone but a small child. Incluing shipping this was over $12. For me, I would say that it wasn't worth the shipping. If you have a small child who wants to play astronaut, it might be a good thing. It will break pretty easily though, so be careful. At least it looks more like a space helmet than the others that are available. If it had been made of more substantial stuff (polycarbonate perhaps) and/or been a bit bigger, I would've given it more stars. As it is, I feel I wasted my money.

Have to say I was a little dissapointed when I received the helmet. It doesn't look like the one advertised in the picture and it is not hard plastic, more like cheap flimsy plastic. My son still loves playing with it, but he's four...doen't know quality yet:)

The helmet is made out of plastic and can easily be broken. However, for the price and the limited time it will be used, it was perfect for the occasion. Delivery method was fast and efficient.

This helmet was very basic... no adjustments, nothing to keep it on the head straight. Feels very fragile. Perhaps if it came with a head-liner and some basic strapping or elastic to keep it sitting properly on the head, but it's really just a shell and requires some creativity to make it useful to play with.

I had no idea what to expect from this order. When received it was immediately clear this was not a hard, durable product but a very thin plastic halloween costume, very thin and pliable. It comes in two parts (front/back) and has small velcro tabs along the right to left over the top to hold it together.
